Community Showcase
The Town Hall will be open throughout Ossett Gala, offering a warm and welcoming indoor space filled with community displays, performances, children’s activities, and creative competitions — all celebrating Ossett’s people, heritage, and creativity.
Whether you’d like to take part, enter a competition, or simply come along and enjoy the displays, everyone is welcome.
What's Happening Inside the Town Hall
Community Showcases
Local groups and organisations will be hosting displays that reflect their work, interests, and connections to Ossett. These are designed to raise awareness, share stories, and celebrate what makes our town special.
Please note: there will be no selling inside the Town Hall. All displays are for information, inspiration, and community engagement.
Live Performances
Throughout the day, the Town Hall stage will host a programme of live performances from local individuals and groups. These may include music, dance, performing arts, and other community acts.
Performance timings will be displayed on the day.
Children’s Activities
A dedicated children’s craft area will be available all day, offering hands-on creative activities for younger visitors.

This area is family-friendly and suitable for a range of ages.
Competitions
We are inviting children, young people, and adults to take part in our Ossett-themed competitions. Entries will be displayed inside the Town Hall during the Gala.

How to Take Part
Enter a Competition

Entries must follow the guidance for the chosen category.

All entries must be clearly labelled with the entrant’s name and contact details (as specified on the entry form).

Completed entries should be dropped off at a local drop off location 1 week before the Gala, unless otherwise stated.

For Schools and Groups
Schools, groups, and community organisations are very welcome to encourage participation and submit entries. We are particularly keen to involve local schools and groups connected to Ossett. For more information on how your group or School can get involved, please contact us!
